Co-Scholastic Activities
The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities. These opportunities indeed provide children with diverse learning experiences beyond the classroom. Activities like class programs, wind ups, festival celebrations, sports day help children develop various skills, foster creativity, build social connections and encourage teamwork.
Bal Mela- On occasion of ‘Children’s Day’ our school puts “Bal Mela.”It’s like a fair with lots of stalls and fun activities to do. Children are free to go and play in all the stall of their choice. It is fun filled day for the children.
Sports Day- Sports day is a very exciting and happy day for every child who looks forward to all children participate in race which helps them in the development of physical activities and skills as the primary focus of the activity. It also develops children’s gross motors.
Nature Walk- Nature walk is a fun way for children to explore nature. During these walks, children can learn about their nine senses like tactile, stereognostic, baric, thermal, sight, smell, touch, hearing, taste. By using all their senses, they can discover and learn more about the nature world. Going on nature walks once a week helps children understand how diverse and connected the world around them.
Field Trip- Every class goes on a field trip related to their ongoing project. These trips show children real life examples and they build up the learning related to the project. They visit places like bakeries, doctor’s clinic, dairies etc. This helps them to understand better, remember and connect what they have been taught.
Cooking Activity- Cooking is an integrated learning experience for children, fostering holistic development by engaging them in practices application of science, math, language, creativity and critical thinking. Through hands on cooking children explore and enhance their language and develop critical thinking by problem solving.
Nature Curriculum- It helps children to sensitize towards environment and also give them lots of opportunity to do holistic development as children go in the nature .They feel relaxed when they get autonomy to do numerous activities with plants and trees .Apart from this they also get the chance to involve themselves to do different sensory activities.
Music- Music plays a vital role in the development of early childhood in various ways. It enhances sensory stimulation through auditory, tactile and visual exposure. It promotes language development, cognitive skills and emotional expressions. Through singing, dancing and playing music instruments, children explore their imaginations and build confidence.
